Traditional defrosting processes (e.g. water bathing) are time-consuming and energy-intensive and both these shortcomings can also compromise the integrity and healthiness of frozen raw fish other than causing high production costs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:32px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The company was looking for a solution that would guarantee <strong>rapid and effective defrosting of tuna and swordfish loins<\/strong> to increase throughput at its production facility, while preserving the superior quality of its raw materials &#8211; a must for its customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:32px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The RF equipment supplied by Stalam, with a maximum output power of 40kW, brings the temperature of approximately 500-600 kg\/h of fish loins from storage at -18\u00b0C to the ideal temperature (-2\/-3\u00b0C for swordfish and -4\/-5\u00b0C for salted tuna) required for further processing or portioning and re-packaging before delivery in just 25 minutes.
